- Ceiling Fan: Use a ceiling fan to cool a room — they use very little electricity. Make sure the fan is blowing air downwards in summer.
- Powerbar: Use a powerbar for electronics that can be turned off — electronics left on while not in use waste energy.
- Furnace: If you feel cool, put on a sweater instead of turning up the heat.
- Water Heater: Be sure to use the vacation setting or turn off the water heater when you are out of town.
- Bicycle: Ride a bike — it's great for the environment and good exercise for you.
- Car: Low emission or hybrid cars use less gas and create less pollution.
