The Legislative Page Program is a chance for students to learn first hand about how government works and how a bill becomes a law.

What does a Legislative Page do?

Pages:

  • Work in the Chamber during House sittings
  • Deliver documents to MPPs' offices and Assembly offices
  • Meet with MPPs and other key parliamentary figures
  • Receive lessons and tutoring

Who can apply?

The Program is open to Ontario students who:

  • Are in Grade 7 or 8
  • Have very good grades — 80% or higher
  • Are involved in their school or in their community
  • Have an interest in current events
  • Get along well with other students and adults

How do you apply?

Step 1: Get an application form by submitting your full name, mailing address (with postal code), phone number, grade and academic standing.

Step 2: Submit your application form by mail to the address above (faxed copies are not accepted). All applications must be postmarked by June 15 for the Fall Session, and December 15 for the Spring Session. Grade 7 students may apply for both deadlines. Grade 8 students are eligible for the December 15th deadline only.
